Preliminary remarks
- We are a group of friends from L'Aquila keen on mountains and bikes.
MTB99 Team was born to share with you our travel experiences at the remotest places where nature is wild and still shows unique landscapes. Without any guidance or any kind of vehicles, completely left on our own devices, we ride our mountain bikes being filled with wonder at the beauties of nature and of the cultures typical of the places we ride through
.
Cycling together, our team spirit strengthens and the difficulties become more bearable. We spend the nights in our tents or in Spartan lodgings where comfort is reduced to the bare minimum, but this brings our adventurous spirit to the top.
Looking at the maps and considering the distance we cover each day, you might think that you must have a particularly trained physic. But if you want to join us is necessary to have passion and to be determined (with a little help of a proper training!)
Now, we are trying to convey you our love for travelling (riding a MTB) in close contact with nature and its beauties.
Association MTB99 is involved in promoting the following sports, cycling (Road, Mountain bike), climbing, trekking. Moreover, its main concern is developing and coordinating mountain bike with recreational, educational and cultural activities connected with it, in cooperation public and private institutions and organisms.
In order to promote interest in natural and historical treasures of Abruzzo, we organize excursions at any level all around our region under the guidance of valuable MTB instructors.
